Upper age limit

Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me what the upper age limit is on their Car Insurance? My father-in-law's insurance has 85yrs as a limit although he's not there yet it's not far off. Also any "horror" premiums encountered? A search for him revealed quotes from £300 or so to a mind-boggling £1700 for the same cover. Help please.

Have you had a look at http://www.ageconcern.org.uk and the Insurance
they have there with no upper limit?

There are so many variables with motor insurance now, age is just one of them...
