Greedy MPs,
« on: January 31, 2008, 01:12:10 PM »
I think its a damned digrace what these so called honest people are up to.
Once in power "snouts into the trough" and  lets get the family and friends on
the payroll at the tax payers expense. Our unelected PM should ban nepotism

??? WELL WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE ABOVE TOPIC.

These people are supposed to act within the law but the thing is this LABOUR GRAVY TRAIN is running on full steam ahead with no holes barred at what ever they do that is members of the green leathered house of cards.

The speaker of the house Mr Martin who l did have respect for but sadly now do not seems to be above the law when he had collected over 1 000 000 airmiles his role as speaker with the trips paid by the tax payer.  Then he was able to use
54000 airmiles for his daughter and son to fly from scotland saving then and him £3500 for the part of the cost of airfares
to london.

What l find ludicrous is that the laws governing airmiles in the expenses debacle the so called speaker of the house is taken out of the equation for some uneplainable reason.

my feelings as a Carer who is ill suffered heart attack at 47 in January been mums carer for 15 years have had so through so much of the brown stuff in the last 15 years.

Mr Jack Stewart Pert pensioners forum knows me well as a campaigner for carers, disabled people and pensioners been on radio tay talking a no of times to air my anger at all the discrimminataory legislation in place and to irritate anybody in the process to initiate change.

This mps gravy train on expenses will never end  pensioners, carers and disabled people who are three of the most vulnerable in society today will never get the less than poverty level income these sections of society deserve.

The onlt time you see mps or councilliors is when they want your votes and have there smiling teeth exposed for this purpose just to get your vote.

My mum has cancer now and l cannot even move in to give mum one to mum care taking into the terminal illness but due to a ludicrous and discrimminatory against human rights legislation this piece of tat legislation came into being on the 15 april 1988.

Even spoke to my to mp but got nowwhere that is just how it is as l have been  told.

AS A 47 YEAR OLD CARER AND ILL MYSELF I FIND THIS GOVERMENT JUST USES AND ABUSES CARERS OF ELDERLY DISABLED PEOPLE AND PENSIONERS.

WHEN LADIES OR GENTS PESNIONERS REACH RETIREMENT AGE CARERS ALLOWANCE SEASES TO BE PAID AS STATE PENSION IS NOW CLASSED AS A BENEFIT  AND YOU CANNOT FOR SOME DISCRIMMINATORY LEGISALTION REASONS GET BOTH.

THE DWP DOES NOT OR THE SO CALLED MINISTERS IVAN LEWIS ANN MAGUIRE MPS BOTH REALLY DO REALLY DO ANYTHING BUT JUST YES SIR THREE BAGS FULL SIR.

LEGITAMENT ACTION IS NEEDED TO STOP THIS LABOUR GRAVY TRAIN AND THE THEFT OF MONEY FORM PENSIONERS.CARERS AND DISABLED PEOPLE.

NOW I HAVE HAD MY RANT AGAINST THIS LUDIRCOUS GOVERMENT AND THE STEALING OR DISHONESTY THAT IS GOING ON UNDER ALL OF OUR NOSES.

I could'nt agree more with your statement (Greedy M.Ps) Our local M.P is a young man that I used to work with, if I told you that he could not afford a decent pair of jeans, would you believe me? Now he is wearing silk suits and his expenses are in the region of £180.000.00 per annum. I honestly think it sickening amount of taxpayers money being waisted by these greedy people

I so agree with you about these greedy politicians.  They had a vote last week for more transparency into their expenses, guess what, they voted against it.  It is a disgrace that they have been allowed to buy new kitchens, furniture, have the decorating done, plasma TV's etc etc.
When they become MP's they buy a property which may need some work doing to it.  We pay for it to be renovated, and if and when they lose their seat in parliament, they can sell that home at a huge profit.  Do we see any of that money back...NO!!!.
Pigs and troughs do come to our minds, they promise us so much when they want our vote, but as soon as they get into Westminster, they are made to align to the whips.  I wonder how many MP's have integrity?
How many of them fight our cause once they have had our vote?
They are our servants, we pay for them to live in the lap of luxury, where is the democracy?  Money is the root of all evil, this saying is so true when it comes to politicians.
How long are we going to put up with this whole debacle?  When are we going to stand up and be counted?
I can speak from experience, I am struggling at the moment to pay my utility bills, goodness knows what is going to happen come the winter when the Gas and Electricity goes up by a huge 40%.
If this Chancellor was so frugal, why did he not put some away for that rainy day?  No, he was the spending chancellor, we are the ones who are going to suffer for the mistakes of this government.
If you can think of someway you can make your voice heard, then do so.
We must make not just this government, but any future governments realise that we will not hide from them, we will challenge any decisions they make.
Best wishes
Faye

I think it says it all about the cynical way pensioners are treated when the wife of the Speaker of the House of Commons spends more on taxis for her shopping than the government pays in basic state pension.

We pensioners are at the bottom of the heap. Get up and demand action

OK, you people, have your moan by all means, but you would feel  better trying to do something about it. See the latest postings on ppp (pensioners political party) and visit www.socialequityparty.org.uk
