the menopause - in retrospect
« on: June 27, 2008, 10:59:28 AM »
Hello there,

I'm only 51 and going through the menopause but I feel this is a question I should ask ladies who've gone through it. I can't get answers from my peers because they're all either suffering from it or not there yet.

Would you say the menopause marked a permanent change in your bodies, mostly a lowering, including libido (my bugbear) or would you say that, in some sense, you "recover" from it and your libido returns?

Thanks for your time

Well, you lot, in common with every older person I've tried to ask about this, NO ONE will talk about it. What's the big deal? Some of you reading this must've gone through it so please let me know what you thought it did.

Hi, no problem!!

With the most awful hot flushes and dripping sweats I went through nightmares in the UK  for 7 years, trying everything doctors recommended, then in Here's Health magazine a woman named Linda Bostock in Slough wrote an article saying that with herbal treatments she can help anyone overcome all the problems of  the menopause.

I went to see her, got the tincture and a week later all hot flushes and dripping sweats had gone. Amazing.

Years later, here in Spain, they came back, and I had hypnotherapy, which worked marvellously, and is still working for me and friends who also suffered.

Its awful, but there are ways to deal with it, as I found out!!
It makes no sense to repeat your actions and expect different results!
