Thanks for the welcome Ivanhoe.  I am indeed a pensioner.  Andy Junior is my very grown-up boy

I'm not too sure on giving out specific information on the internet (something Andy Junior told me to be wary of).

I'm over retirement age but under 80

Hi H/A, Yes he is right, never give out personal information on the internet.

I take it you support a higher State pension making no need for means tested handouts ?

May I ask why you were requesting personal information if you yourself know that it shouldn't be given out?  Seems strange to me Ivanhoe.

Regarding the state pension - I don't really have an opinion on it.  I have a private pension fund that I worked damn hard for and I'm very comfortable with it.  I appreciate not all people were afforded such an option but at the same time very few people were born into the type of hell-hole life that I was

Hi H/A, because I only asked your age, not your bank account details.

How much do you know about the pensioners cause ?

It's not a term I can say hand on heart that I've heard of before Ivanhoe.  I assume it to refer to the poor way the majority of us are being treated by the government?

Hi H/A, You presume right, in respect of a diminishing State pension, the means testing, and the council tax.

The State pension is a joke, the means testing is intrusive and humiliating, and the council tax is unjust.

Hi Andy...nice to see you onboard !

it takes a bit of time to get used to all of the internet tricks but if you persevere I am sure you will catch on. I am now 66 and I feel very comfortable with hi-tec stuff.

If you are a pensioner why don't you have a look at my own pensioner's group at ROB. Just click on the banner signature below and BINGO, you will be there.
Regards....

Papaumau.

Hi Andy & Eric a bit late but welcome to the forum. Hope you hang around and share with us your interests. I am doing my best to practice what I preach but I am staying well clear of politics and pensioners hard done by stories those topics get to heated for my liking.

As a non pensioner, I would completely disagree with that.
