To be the pensioners champion the pensioners have to want one and there is little evidence to think we, as some 13 million, are prepared to stand up to the establishment but if you get me some addresses I will write some excellent letters (and post them on the forum) and see if that gets us anywhere.

We do all seem to be a negative lot don't we!?  Why don't we give up, after all we are not going to get anything done, no one is going to listen.  While I love France I must confess that I don't really care for the French too much.  However lets look at how they tackle problems.  The French Government said 'no more grants for students' they (the people) set lorries on fire.  Here the government said 'no more grants for students' we said 'oh well, OK'.  I went to a local cafe in France only to see a cat sitting on the working surface in the kitchen which by the way only had one sink.  They have the same rules but no one takes much notice of them.  Here we closed cafes because they did not have 2 sinks. Unless we are prepared to use joined up thinking, and use our group power (over 13mil people) no one is going to listen.  I was told at school 'you will never get anywhere'  I was bloody minded and ended up at the top of my profession.  The problem is that we have to care enough to do something about our future (now as then).  Lets get real things cant be too bad or we would all be progressing down the motorway at 5mph thousands joining the demonstration at every junction.  Anyone up for this by the way!
