the Koran actually preaches peace and does not advocate killing in either the manner or the causes the fanatics claim.
So how do you explain this verse from Sura 2?
“And KILL them (the unbelievers) wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.” (Sura 2, verse 191).
And there are many more like this!
Having lived in the Middle East for most of my working life I have found Islam to be a sexist, intolerant religion, with like most others, some good points. Just live in Saudi for a while and believe me you would see how truly awful it is! Mind you, their punishments for wrong doing, Sharia Law, is a far better deterrent than our pathetic, watered down justice!
