First - two spaniels were stabbed with a screwdriver when defending their home against a burglar when the owner was still in the house. One just 11 months old is still experiencing problems and the other a 5 years old now growls when people approach which is out of character.

Second - A dog half starved and very emancipated has been rescued floating on debris from the Tsunami off the coast of Japan. The rescuers wrapped him in blankets and took him to a shelter - lets hope his owners are still alive and he can be reunited with them.
