criticize

I love England more than any other country in this world and exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.

Unfortunately there is a lot to criticize at the moment

With you all the way Caminito  :)

I was born in Britain, my parents were born in Britain, I am very proud to be British. Moving back to Britain after 35 years away has enabled me to have the great privilege and joy of seeing my family and friends on a regular basis, often on an impromptu basis.

Over the Bank Holiday I gave a party to celebrate this and, also to say thanks for all the help and support I have received prior, during and after my move back - there have been times when my marbles have been well and truly rattled, I could not have managed the very scary prospect of a solo move without them.

I was eaten and drunk 'house out of home' - quite a costly month with Council Tax and utility ddms kicking in, I do not regret a penny of it. It was my great pleasure.

I think we should have a new smiley up - the British flag! How about, forum owner?  ;D ;D

I prefer to say I am ENGLISH rather than British. Britain is a composite with Scottish, Welsh and Irish mixed in. No part of me is any of these so I am ENGLISH, and proud of it ;D

English and proud too, Dottie though my great grand daddie was an Irish man and Jeff keeps calling me his "little frog" since discovering that my maiden name came from France many centuries ago! ;)
Never look down on anyone, unless it is to offer your hand to help them up.

Hi, sorry but I am new here and will possibly get my head blown off for saying
this but although I am English, I am very proud to be associated with people from
Scotland, Wales and Ireland, along with Australia, New Zealand, Canada in particular
any country that is prepared to fight for us.
So this will include France, India and so on, as I feel it's not a question alone on put your money where your mouth is but put your life on the line and that is perhaps
where the tone of the argument ends.

And let's not forget the wonderful Ghurkas - my own father's life was saved by one of these courageous men in Burma in WW2.  My dad had nothing to give him but the signet ring he wore, so he gave that to the Ghurka, who remained at my father's side until he was detailed elsewhere. My father never forgot it.
So I agree - those who fight for us and stand by us, are welcome as far as I'm concerned.

After a spate of thefts and high rates of car crime, Swedish giant Ikea has taken to using former Gurkha's soldiers to patrol its store in Giltbrook, Nottingham.
and anyone stupid enough to mess with these Brave men are in for a shock.

Gadzy, that's an idea many more stores and businesses would do well to copy! Hopefully, others will follow suit... :)
