So we all agree that the present situation is as bad as any one can remember.
We can go on slagging off the political party's for ever and a day.
We need answers and a way out of the mess, not point scoring. Listening to the discussion no one has put forward any concrete ideas. So, let's ask a few questions

1. Do we allow the bankers to carry on as usual?
If not what restrictions do we place on them.
How are we to guarantee to get our money back?

2. How do we get everyone back to work of working age with decent jobs? not Macjobs

3. How do we get a fair tax system? Where everyone pays according to their ability and their need. No tax havens

These are just a few questions we need answers to. Any ideas?  BillB

BillB, We have had a low income tax deregulated free market,  that is just about to sack Cadbury workers due to a USA buy out, since the 80's, and this is our problem.

What is this supposed to be about?

Its a good job Cadbury are moving some production
to Poland.

Something they knew about before this bid.

So it won't come as much a surprise if they
eventually closed the whole factory.

The Turkish delight will soon be made in Turkey.

Like that sold by M&S. This is the ordinary chocolate
covered bar. Nothing fancy.

No, they were going to lose their jobs anyway due to the money grabbing antics of the unions.

Bill, From another Bill you seemed to have made up your mind that the Cadbury Unions have screwed up the company, I'd wish you would explane that situation to me.
Only last week a member of the Cadbury family and a director of the company claimed exellent working relations with the unions and the work force,
It's only since the company is out of the controll of the Cadbury family that things have changed.
We now have a company trying to maximise it's profit margin and company share value at the expence of all other considerations.
The move to Poland will further boost profits because of lower wages and lavish incentives given by the Polish government.
Or would you like the workers in Britain lower their wages to that of third world countries, and that is your classic Tory philosify, Commonly called 'The race to the bottom'

Back to the troll free posts.

This was something that Cadbury were doing before Kraft came on the scene.
In the context of the post, it was something they could not blame Kraft for.

When the Company was Cadbury Schweppes and then sold off Schweppes,
this slimming down signalled 'come and get us'. Top People at Cadbury and
some shareholders stand to make millions.

They are not going to turn this down.

I thought you were supposedly discussing 'the next general election', not the 'charlies in the chocolate factory'. You guys must really get to grips with your subject.
