I have just found out that the owner of this site has been publishing all our information, pictures etc on Google (for his own profit?).

This is a blatant infringement of my privacy and probably copyright and 1/. I am talking with my lawyer and 2/. I am leaving the forum.

There is no impropriety. It is important to understand how Google works. This is a public website viewable by anyone, including Google. Therefore they are free to scan millions of such websites to collect data (including images) for their search engine. Therefore when someone types in a search term as you did, this site and snippets of it's content will appear on google's result pages.

Hello Chris I agree with you I just cannot see what he as got to moan about. It is a very public forum and they in fact should thankyou for advertising their campaign, which I have told Chrisjay it was a waste of time and money.
I hope the forum will now become a more user friendly place to be.

Thank you Gennaio. I am here, lurking in the shadows and trying to sort out what is what and who is who. Whether I'll be posting pictures is another matter. ???

Lets make a fresh start CC the campaign now as its own forum so there is nothing stopping you being a member of both if you so wish. I wasn't even lurking in the back ground it was Dot who got in touch with me to let me know things were changing. See how it goes to see if I am here for the long term.
