Hi Dottie

Am in total agreement with you - the terrifying anger against our Police Forces, people in their homes, shop and restaurant owners beggars belief. 'Cowardly scum' does not do my thoughts enough justice.

I read in a paper today that many thousands of volunteers came onto the streets to help clear up the damage needlessly and viciously rendered, thereby showing their humanity, support and respect for those whose lives have been turned upside down. I was not impressed with seeing Boris and his brush.

Our Police Forces are very over stretched, I just wonder how many will have had to give up yet more rest days, holidays, weekends, in order to keep the peace, do their job - endless hours in their stations completing reports and attending courts. I do hope that the known perpetrators will be bought to justice and dealt with accordingly, some will escape attention, but others are beginning to show bravado, and I hope that will be their downfall.

Best wishes

What have we learned in 2,066 years?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be
tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to
work, instead of living on public assistance."

Hi
If there was 20 or so lads wearing football colours in town on a Sat afternoon they would soon be made to move on by the police, I know.
Cheers

I have just caught up with todays' news - and am appalled to see that Prince Charles, prior to visiting carefully, orchestrated sites of sheer violence and terror, just a few terrible days ago has decided that:

'The perpetrators made a cry for help, that their actions (destruction of people's lives and livelihoods) was down to youthful energy and natural aggression'.

We all know that he founded The Princes Trust, but also recognise that he whipped away a wapping great £11,000,000 to help fund the purchase of an 'important pile, for the nation'.

I hope his Mum lives to the same age as her Mother, by which time he will be I hope, considered sufficiently gaga to pass on his much awaited reign to younger and more in touch hands.

Best wishes

Gennaio and Hugh

What is it with Charlie Boy??? I know he likes talking to the plants but he has gone totally gone crazy in the manure pile!!!

And with Camilla sitting by the side of him agreeing to what he is saying, I think it's about time he started to live in this world, maybe he had better speak to his son and his wife and get some advice from them.
He is as you quiet rightly say gaga helices in a world of his own, how can anybody take him serious.

Fires have now come to the country side with five farmers crops of straw and hay destroyed over night.

We are now meant to disagree with the tough sentences that are being dished out to a FEW! Well, I for one will lose no sleep over their predicament. No doubt their lawyers (paid for by the tax payers) will challenge their sentences and also negotiate compensation for them when they are over turned.  >:(

Hi Dottie

Like you and other posters, I can't understand how this 'man's' mind works, it is most certainly not in tune with us Joe Public, anywhere, or in any field. He is so out of touch with reality. If I was a shrink, I would I think equate him to feeling eclipsed from birth, sitting in the wings for 'his turn', certainly throughout most of his adult life; his lovely wife Diana eclipsed him, she had a feeling and natural humanity for us people that hadn't been seen in such sincere depth, since his Grandmother, The Queen Mother, and his Grandfather King George were in Office.

More recently, he was totally eclipsed; whilst we all rejoiced in the wedding of William & Kate, he displayed great temper tantrum features and would not acknowledge the crowd of well wishers. And, was immature in his post wedding comments, 'too much attention for them'.  Again, attending Zara's wedding, he was scowling at the press and cross at being felt an also ran.

I can't help having some sympathy for CPB, she lusted after him for years, dutifully reciprocated, she has now got her prince, but at what cost? She has to fall in line, or retreat to her private home.

Best wishes

Just think how the Parable of the Good Samaritan would be told in these modern times.

Having found the Guy injured and bleeding -

The first question asked would nowadays probably be -

Do you know who did this to you - I must go and find them - they need my help ?????
If I wake up in the morning - I know it's going to be a Good Day - just consider the alternative !!!!!
