"We don't do walking away" was an iconic quote (a bit like maggies 'the ladys not for turning') from the then manager Ally McCoist when Glasgow Rangers fc hit the skids about ten years ago. The 'present' manager Steven Gerrard has just left the club to go boss Aston Villa. You sort of need to be a football fan with a reasonable memory to see the significance of the meme.
I read a lot of football forums (yes, i'm sad, lol) and i've recently seen what i thought was a really funny analogy about Newcastle United (now the worlds richest club after an Arab takeover), they've just appointed ex Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe as manager and some wag likened it to "winning the lottery then going out and buying a second hand lada". Cruel but funny (i hope the guy does well for them though tbh)...
