i retired on may 26, but to my disgust my old age pension was not payable until from sunday 1st june. How many people have been robbed by this government because your 65th birthday does not fall on a sunday, as it happens to fall any day monday to saturday..ou will lose that portion of your pension untill the sunday following your 65th birthday, I personally think it is nothing short of highway robbery (dick turpin is not dead, but alive in the disguise of the british government ) if you agree write to your mp and try to get this annomally put right if you were on benefit it would be paid from day one, if you have to pay tax it is due from day one, then why not our pensions that we have a right to having worked for 50 yrs.
