Brown's Broadband Tax
« on: September 23, 2009, 11:51:36 PM »
The pressure for yet another stealth tax from Gordon is on.

After sorting out old pals to create yet another Quango. How much
of this money would end up improving anything?

If you are easily hood winked no doubt you believe all this
money grabbing hogwash.

Not so red but green...

I don't think anyone is in any doubt that it is a stealth tax but Gordon likes to keep up the illusion.
It is just another example of his arrogance and contempt for Us the populace that he can decide that something is good for us and necessary  whether we want it or not, we are then expected to pay for it.

It's not a lot of money on an individual basis but in total an awful lot which will go into the labour black hole.

If the broadband network is so poor yet so necessary then why is OFCOM not directing the Utilities concerned to invest the money and get the job done. The extra cost can be added to Broadband customer Tariffs. Why should the little old lady down the road who has no idea what broadband is or means have to pay this levy, why should I have to pay this levy I've been paying through the nose for fast broadband for years, since it first became available. But if I have to pay it is ultimately a fairer way than what is proposed at present

No doubt most of the money will be spent on forming yet another Quango,
filled with old boys, old girls and other mates of Gordon's.

After Administration, plush offices and costs to travel round the world to see how other
phones look. I doubt there will be little left to spend on anything that the Quango
was formed for in the first place.

Then there will be a need to levy even higher Stealth Tax...

I am sure that New-Labour set themselves a problem when they kept harping on about NOT raising income tax in all of their manifesto blurbs.

By keeping to this promise they found that the only way that they could then increase taxation revenues was via stealth taxes.

I am surprised that they seemed to think that we would not notice all of these nasty little bits of tax added here and there over the past twelve years as by thinking that they were suggesting that we were too thick to realise what is going on.

This was bad enough but when our Gordon was advised to get rid of the basic ten-pence threshold all of this dishonesty was brought to a head in our minds.

As was once said..."You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time !"

Gordon Brown and his New-Labourites are in the state they are in today because they underestimated the intelligence of the people of Britain !

Let's hope that Cameron's mob don't try the same underhand tricks if they get into power eh ?
