Help stop the RBS bonuses !
« on: December 08, 2009, 12:39:28 PM »
Prezza takes on RBS in his blog

I know that John Prescott is not well liked by many as he is a rather fat and loutish bully in his mannerisms, but we should never totally paint anybody with one tarbrush as everybody has some saving grace if you just look for it.

This applies to Prezza today !

He is taking on the RBS in their attempt to chuck away £1.5billion in the direction of the fat-cat bosses of this publicly-owned group.

He wants the taxpayers, ( the owners of the RBS group ), to help him in this task by writing to RBS chief, Stephen Hester, urging him to drop plans to hand out these unearned and obscene bonuses to his top-end pals.

There is a draft letter on Prescott's blog site that can be used to formulate this communication and this should make the act of giving Prescott support in his campaign a very easy task.

HERE you will find this draft letter !

( You will need MS Word or Works resident on your computer to be able to read and use this draft letter ).

Please do not let the fact that this letter is a sub-division of Prescott's campaign to get Labour elected for a fourth term put you off as even if this might be the case, sending this letter to Hester will in no way support Labour in their task to get elected again if you don't want to.

A Fat Cat taking on  a Fat Cat.

Sounds like they should both be neutered.

Prescott was a joke as the deputy Prime Minister.

More was squandered on that office then any Banker's Bonus.

This Labour Government has sat back and watched these bonuses grow
and grow over the last 13 years. Not withstanding overseeing  the collapse
of British Banks.

Prescott has also jumped on the climate change bandwagon - no wonder it has slowed down
and so many people are starting to disbelieve in what they are being told about it.

Yeah, yeah, OK...we all agree that Prezza is also a fat-cat, but let's deal with one of them at a time shall we.

I already said that we should not let the fact that this is attached to Prescott's attempt at getting Labour a  fourth term to stop us from using whatever weapons we can use to get at the RBS gravy-train that WE paid for.

Just for once lay aside your bitterness about New-Labour - as I have done - to try to force these greedy and careless fat-cats from getting any more of OUR money.

Download the draft letter, print it up, sign it and get it away so that they know that WE are their bosses and not the other way round.

Prescott must have had a knock back from the Banks to
be interested in this.

Perhaps expecting a Job like Blair - what was it a million pound
Advisor one?

The Pre Budget Report gave the government answer to this and
then only applying to discretionary bonus.

Why do we need to send a letter? We may be the owners (not
that you would know it) but we only have a say through the
Ballot Box.

This government is not measuring up and after many failures it is
time for the majority of them to go. Taking pay off money and
pensions with them, second and more homes profits and tax
fiddles (all within the rules of course).

More perks then the Bankers together with years of hidden and
unjustified expenses...

That is the exact problem... If we wait for the ability to lay our powerful little crosses every time we are abused by government or city fat-cats we are just going to be using a very slow sledgehammer to crack a wallnut.

There are a million ways for the people to make the fat-cats and the political bods do what we want them to do and the GE sanction is the very last one available to us.

It is time that we all started to be activists so that we can influence our representatives to do what WE want them to do and not what the government whips what them to do.

THAT....matie...is what the "Write to them" option is all about and if more of their constituents used that weapon we might see our political representatives starting to do what WE want instead of what they want.
