I take it that this is the RSPCA and the NSPCC that you are on about.

I have not looked into this - but I presume that it has something
to being National Charities. That National part meaning the United
Kingdom.

I can assure you that the RSPCA are always being found short when
an animal emergency happens. They seem to fob people off on the
phone.

The NSPCC also has this insular approach. The impression given was
they had some sort of Inspectors, like the RSPCA that responded to
neighbour's concerns about the safety of children.

Again this seemed to have died a death and they just provide some
sort of play groups.

So you are not missing much.

OK, but the main point I was getting at was that while the English arms of these charities are allowed to canvas and advertise in Scotland, ( and spend their money raised here only in England and Wales ), the Scottish arms of these charities are only allowed to carry out these polices in Scotland.

In other words the British nation is only a British nation when it suits them and they do not respect our Scottish nationhood.
