Thanks Ivanhoe !  ;)

The sooner we in Britain get out of this "begging" mentality when we ask for a decent state pension the quicker the politicos will know that we know what we are due and that we are not asking for something we have not already paid for.

If the stock exchange - where many pension funds are invested - including the state pension funds - do not perform then that is not our fault, it is the fault of the so-called investment experts that are making the big bonuses these days.

Papaumau, I feel that the begging bowl merntality will be here for a long time to come, this is something inherent in the British mindset that just wont grow up.

Did you receive my link to my new U-tube broadcast ?

Maybe so I suppose !

I did get your e-mail link but I could not get it to work.

I think that U-Tube is now so heavily subscribed to that the website slows down to a crawl or even crashes because of the amount of traffic it gets.

Anyway...To get back to the topic:

I don't think that we - the active elderly ones - should allow ourselves to be conned by all of that guff about us living longer and there being more of us than there are earners to be used to build up the pension pot, as those are just excuses to allow them to either force us to work longer - and miss out on any earned retirement - or to pay more into that very-poorly-invested pot.

What they are trying to do via that kind of thinking is to make do with the money that is already in the pension pot. What they NEED to do is to allocate more of the country's wealth to this pot so as to give our pensioners a decent retirement. After all, the rest of Europe can do it, so why can't we ?
Regards....

The slowness is not the websites as such, particularly not You Tube which has some of the most powerful servers and space available.

This has more to do with the slow infrastructure in many parts of the UK.

This government would rather waste money then promote a proper infrastructure, or even con the public with a Broadband Tax. Making out that they have not paid enough (over and over again) to enable one.

Better watch out in case Bully Boy Brown starts on me...
