It was New labour cut backs only rises in state pension was aloud. Serp and forces pensions were frozen. I have a forces and a serps pension so we are both in the same boat. I won't be voting for G Brown and I hope other pensioners remember how they have kicked pensioners in th teeth once again.

Aren't you both the lucky ones with all these pensions! Although I was in the RN Submarine Service I get nothing for it so just get the basic State Pension

But either way, there is NO WAY I would want to keep Brown in power no matter what he promised on our pensions.

Every election all the parties seem to forget that we are the largest, single group of people in this country, and with time on our hands have the time and inclination to get out there and vote!

I guess I was lucky to be allowed to serve for 22 years and be able to get a forces pension. Do to cut backs only a selected few are allowed to stay in for the full term and collect a pension. Serps I had to pay into it to get it and I have never claimed one penny in unemployment benefits. To keep this record up I took a job at just over £2 an hour and worked 60 odd hours a week to make ends meet. With the labour party if you have saving you can't collect unemployment benefits. Labour party certainly look after lazy work shy people who have paid nothing into the system. Yes there are people through no fault of their own need help and would get more if it wasn't for the lazy work shy people, and many now claim credit allowances.
