Gorgeous George writes every Monday in my favourite tabloid and while I do not in fact like the man very much I often read - and sometimes support - what he writes.
His latest dig today was at politics and politicians in general and here are his words verbatim:

I hope to be in it and I hope it is "hung". Not by the neck of course. No, I mean a parliament in which every speech counts, every vote counts and in which the whips are powerless because each measure has to be won by argument and true debate.
THIS, is one of the times that I support his point as up until now the large majorities that have been available to the two biggies have meant that the voices of the back-benchers were either silenced by the bullying whips or they were drowned out by the yah-boo behaviour of the party-faithful.
I for one am pig-sick of yah-boo politics and seriously hope that when no overall majority is found on either side, that whatever legislation is being discussed it will be fully debated before it goes to a thoughtful vote.
