Ban Politics on Pensioners Forum
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:56:59 PM »
Politics should be banned as a subject on pensioners forum, Let this forum come to life and become interesting to all pensioners and not to a very small minority who have nothing to talk about but politics. How sad.

The only thing sad on this forum is you.

Government's for decades in this country have not paid our pensioners a decent living State pension, now that's politics.  End of.

Sad no Ivanhoe I am enjoying the best time of ny life and very interesting at times.
Your interest in pensions and pensioners and trying to get them a good deal I cannot fault you in your all out effort, and I would like to think the powers to be are listening to you and not falling on death ears. Your hearts in the right place and well done for all your time and effort
Isnt it time time you eased up a bit and shared with the few members of this forum a little about your self. You must have other things of interest to share with us and make this forum just a little more interesting.
Members only stay for a short time before moving on, this must tell you some thing. This forum should be full pensioners passing the time of day and making new friend and building an on line family and this is what I am going to try and do with this forum I will not be taking part in serious issues. I expect I will fail but its costing me nothing to try.
Good night all.

Im not "interested" in the pensioners cause.  I am "angered" by it, because there is no need for it, you are clearly apathetic like so many other people.

So you can get back to your knitting,

Ban Politics! not likely!a much more suitable subject to ban from all media is the subject that has caused more strife throughout history than anything else - RELIGION (apart from consenting adults in private and I mean in private)

The day Margaret Thatcher was voted into run this country ( 1979 ) that was the day Britain threw away the rule book on caring, to worship a golden idle. "money"..........

Excuse me for butting in, but while you were being thrifty, you were also working and paying into the system, and now you should have been receiving a decent remuneration due to your working life of NI contrbutions and taxes, should you not ?

Ivanhoe do you believe that people should stand on their own feet - my neighbour does not owe me a living nor I him, but I may choose of my own free will to do so without the the compulsion of the state

Your posting is knee jerk reaction, non thought out rubbish regarding New Labour, they were right wing, not left wing.
