What about elderly drivers then ?
« on: August 27, 2010, 12:56:38 PM »
There has been much said recently about elderly drivers holding up the traffic by driving too slow or by making mistakes and either driving up one-way streets, or even worse, up the wrong lane of a motorway or dual carriageway. There has also been suggestions that at certain ages old people should even be banned from driving completely.

As this is a pensioners forum, what do you folks think of this ?

My personal opinion is that in the main elderly drivers are much safer on the roads than a lot of the young petrol-head speedsters are and if we were to look at the figures for accidents on Britain's roads it would be the inexperienced and don't-give-a-damn boy-racers that would contribute to the highest percentage of accidents.

What do YOU think ?
