Films
« on: Dec 18, 2010, 03:44:16 PM »
I really enjoy sitting and watching a good film, but some films don't live up to expectations. One film which was out standing AVATAR. A good story line and out standing special effects and stunts. The way they change people to look like animals and avatars with the computer, taking animation one step further and the future of film making. I am very pleased I purchased the 3 disc collector's Edition gave me 8 hours of entertainment,
I purchase my DVDs on line with PLAY COM good price postage free.

Hi Hugh
I agree with you about Play.com .
My son put me on to them years ago .
I buy a lot of foreign films from them . Italian ,French , Spanish , Argentinian etc .
Films Like the 13 roses

Absolutely brilliant film . Hollywood just can't make them like this !
One of my favourites .. Malena ...an Italian film .

If I have to pick a hollywood film that I thought was inspired , it would be ..
Body Heat

Listen to the sound track by John Barry ...wonderful

A casual remake of Double Indeminity

Hugh & Caminito

Avatars in on Sky over Christmas and as I have not seen it I really look forward to it and will record it on Sky plus.

Looking at to-days Christmas TV magazine I have to say I am not too impressed but then I am usually disappointed at all the repeats we get but at least for the second year running we do not have Jason and the Argonauts on Christmas Day

Rather than pay for a film channel I spend less each month on a film which I am interest in. I have now collected quite a number of films which I can choose from and watch when ever I wish, and no adverts to spoil my viewing. I can watch and enjoy the same film several times with a break in between each viewing of course.

I only pay £8 per month for the film channels but like you I buy films usually when they are on offer and save them up for the likes of Christmas or holidays and I have the favourites like Mama Mia the movie which always cheers me up listening to Peirce Brosnon trying to sing  ;D ;D

Did you know that in countries such as Spain, anyone is allowed to make a private copy of a copyrighted material for oneself and the source copy does not even have to be legal. Making copies for other people, however, is forbidden if done for profit.

All around Spain you will see the "blanket men". Usually guys from Senegal , who lay out their blanket on the pavement or patrol the beaches selling CDs and DVDs. They often wander into restaurants and bars to sell !

The Films are always the lastest releases,
It is illegal for them to sell but not illegal for you to buy  ???
Take one home and make as many copies as you like to give to friends . Not for profit !
Daft isn't it.
Got three in the post on friday ;D

To be honest I wouldn't touch them Caminito. Play Com sell at a reduced price and be sure they are  perfect. 2 weeks after cinema release Avatar was on sale at £9.99
Paying for a film channel on TV I just wouldn't bother. The best film on Sky tonight is Wolverine and you can buy that for a £5 postage free.
