Listening to music again
« on: Nov 06, 2016, 02:25:39 PM »
While I was ill I found that despite being an avid reader and enjoying my choices of music they both just stopped in that world I was in.
I've recently started listening to music again on YouTube and found this song by a young girl who has a very distinctive voice and now has quite a following on YouTube.

So glad you have that enjoyment back MC. Unfortunately that link just takes me to the YouTube home page, not a specific song?
This post is my opinion, which you may not like, but I'm entitled to it.

Hi CC thank you yes, I don't know why my links are not working as they are for me. Also I've been compiling s playlist of the music videos I like on YouTube and when I came to use it on Friday now most of the songs have suddenly got an advert at the beginning where there were none before.

Beautiful song beautifully sung. Nice one MC. Thanks C-C for the clarification of '7 Years Old.'
Life seems to end at 60 for the young writer of it! ;D

M-C. If you enjoy a story song this is one I sang for a long time. I added a couple of verses to bring it up to date but these are the original lyrics.

Thanks Zoony liked it, Ive added it to my YouTube playlist. My sister used to be friends with the daughter of Stan Jardine who was a big part of the Liverpool folk scene.

Ah right..I learned it from a twinkly-eyed Dubliner called Mick Quinn somewhere around 1968.

I've been listening to this one a lot lately.
It rocks my boat.
I listen to a lot of electronic trance/dance music

Alfie Boe and Michael Ball were singing together on t.v. recently.  They were obviously plugging their new cd but I liked it and have asked for one for Christmas.

It's strange how the BBC don't have adverts because we pay our licence fees but authors, singers etc. are allowed free spots to advertise their new products.
