Hugh I have just finished the last of my shopping and it was a large wire metal shelf unit for the kitchen - I needed some additional storage as you know I am stuck for space.

Backed the car up to the car port put it's ears in (wing mirrors) put its frost cover on the windshield and that means I probably will not go out again for some time as it's a pain to get it tucked up as it's so big :-)

I hope we do have a bit of a reprieve from the cold as I would like to get down to the woods with Jac as he is missing his good runs.

Shame you didn't come to Rainworth Chris only a short walk into the forest. Took Hooch for two walks to day not been to the GYM because of ice on the pavements in Mansfield.
The cold weather staying with us till boxing day at least.

Today's paper says they thought there would start to be a thaw Boxing Day but now say more blizzards are on the way and if you think about it we usually get America's weather about 10 days later so that ties in with the blizzerds they had in New York.

I will get over to you over Christmas so we can take the dogs out promise.

The sooner we get rid of this white stuff the better. Don't mind it coming again once I have flown off to Tenerife, quite happy to get stuck out there.

Hope you have emptied the wild birds water bowl save deicing tomorrow.

Had this email from my mate up t'north  ::)

No problem with the weather !
I  packed the wife some Bovril sandwiches and a flask of pea and ham soup, lent her my best spade from the garden shed, sprayed some glue on the soles of her stillettos to give her some grip and off she set, she got back within two days and had all the Xmas shopping in three rucksacks and fifteen carrier bags. I will admit to missing her, I was ready for my tea.

I dont think people realise that we breed 'em tough up north.

I wouldn't swop her for a pair of pigeons and a whippet...........well not until she's done the house work and cleaned my Land Rover.
 ;D

Chris (Mod) I think Hugh has got a bit mixed up as Angela first posted on the Why must we be so rude thread which I answered then she posted on your welcome thread to which Papa responded inappropriately and you, I think, have deleted it but Hugh thought it the one there or here was her first post.

Is that as clear as mud  :)

For those that might need it. How to get over a hangover  ::)

"The best breakfast is toast and honey, which provides the body with the sodium, potassium and fructose it now needs."

Good morning, and a very merry Chistmas to every one Hic Hic Hic

Most of my jobs done for the day, wild birds fed and watered. African greys cages cleaned and Hooch as had his walk down the forest. Very nice in the sun, but freezing out of it.

Thought I would now get my feet up WRONG Yonne wants some thing from the shop. A mile there and back but quicker to walk than dig the car out.

Well CC how do you like your new name  ;D ;D ;D

Well may as well get the shopping done while the sun shining.

Back on line later
