Cross stitch

I used to travel a lot on business, and I used to take a counted cross stitch with me to do in my hotel room.
Maybe an unusual hobby for a guy, but it kept me out of the bar
Last thing I did was a tablecloth for my daughter. I've got photos on my other computer, but meantime here's a sampler that I did some years ago.

That's lovely Traveller. I mainly machine sew but love hand sewing and embroidery as it is so restful. When my brother was born an RAF friend of my parents (male) knitted a beautiful ring shawl - the sort that passes through a wedding ring so incredibly fine work. There is a long tradition of men doing many handcrafts - sailors come to mind. In many of the services there were long periods of waiting and watching so this filled people's time. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

That is beautiful work Traveller and welcome, G49 does lovely work herself. I envy you both. Most of my efforts never reach the end, a tapestry began when we emigrated in 76 still awaits completion on its frame.
