A bit of joinery...
« on: Mar 10, 2017, 05:25:06 PM »
I'm not a joiner, just a DIY nut, so I was surprized when I was asked to make a TV/storage cabinet.  Garden sheds and such the like would be more my thing, but  I had a go using ply and pine boards.  It still has to be stained and polished, but here's my attempt...

That looks very professional, you could start a cottage industry.

Several times I regretted saying "yes" to building this.  I'm happier building walls - even doors, but furniture is not really my thing.  At least I've got a bit of practice for making a fire surround for our lounge.

I think that's admirable and it'll look fantastic when you polish it.

The lady I'm making it for will stain and polish it as she wants it to match existing pine furniture.  I've given her some leftover bits of pine to practice getting a good match.
