Musical memories..

I still love to hear the Mac and Mabel music " I won't send roses" sung by Robert Preston.  Bliss!

Not sure why but I have an intense dislike for Robert Goulet and the way he sings.

Does the way someone comes across put you off ?
It does me - I can't watch Tom Jones or the Canadian guy that's very popular now
sings the standards as well as his own stuff, what's his name ........... anyway
I like some of his stuff - but can't watch 'im .......... ::)
Robert Goulet is the same, not watchable  :P

Do you mean Michael Buble Pats  ?   I think he's great.   As for Tom Jones, I do like him, but I'm pleased he's now too old for the hip swivelling he used to do
I've never heard of Robert Goulet, but I love that song I Won't Send Roses. Someone else has recorded it but I can't remember who  ???

I love Michael Buble, love his singing and looks and he comes across as having such a mischeavious and down to earth personality.

If it's standards, Sinatra, Tony Bennett and the wonderful Ella Fitzgerald for me, but my daughter & daughter in law like Buble.  I like all sorts of music, Country, swing, some pops and some show songs, in fact too many genres and musicians to mention.  I can't get 'Me and Bobby McGee' out of my head at the moment!

Well, at least no one mentioned Elvis, I still don't know what they saw in him, his singing was second only to his acting, and that's not a compliment, (sorry Elvis fans)
