If it's standards, Sinatra, Tony Bennett and the wonderful Ella Fitzgerald for me,

Yes, I agree with all those.  I haven't listened to Ella Fitzgerald for ages and must see if I have an old tape.  Freddie Mercury was my all time favourite.  What a showman.

Well, at least no one mentioned Elvis, I still don't know what they saw in him, his singing was second only to his acting, and that's not a compliment, (sorry Elvis fans)

I agree with you on Elvis .. just a pity they got him to play those dreadful roles in the films .. as for Buble he really gets on my nerves because he over does his sexiness .. Yuk!
I'm a C&W fan .. Emmylou Harris Alison Kraus Yay!

Alf, Matt Monroe, nobody better IMO, I often spend time playing his music, my favourite is " for all we know " as I have mentioned before, his birthday is within days of my own, and he was born and lived in exactly the same place as me, I often wonder if he could have been in the same class as me in school. and coincidentally his mother is buried in a cemetery that backs onto a bungalow I bought some years ago.
