Hi David.  :D

Of course they are UP...just like I have lucky socks. ;)
Coincidentally, or not, I used to think that if I could've chosen my own name, I'd've chosen David but I've grown fond of my own now. I wonder if many of us would choose or would have chosen differently had they the choice?

I think mine is me so wouldn't be able to pick another one.   I did quite fancy David for my son.

i was writing a story at one point and found it really difficult to name the main character - it took me a ages but she sort of became a name and then it was quite simple.

I had a film star book when I was a child and I saw the name Corrine Calvert.  I just remember thinking I liked that Christian name and have liked it ever since.

was there a trumpeter called Eddie Calvert?
Eddies a good name, David is too Biblical for me

I never even thought of David as a particularly 'biblical' crabby.  I suppose as well as the way different generations see names, our own backgrounds make a difference too.

I remember hearing Eddie Calvert on the radio and loving "Oh, My Papa".  I was very little and thought it was about 'my daddy'! :)
