My understanding is that they are a fairly decent company but they have been criticised for high fees. Many financial advisors will give free advice initially but once it gets beyond a chat the fees come quick and fast. IFAs need a wealth warning not unlike the health warning on tobacco products!

When I retired we were given advice within the company and that was to take the maximum index linked income and my redundancy gave me a lump sum.
One unusual clause was if I died within 5 years of retirement the beneficiaries of my estate would get the balance of my pension up to 5 years. This was because my wife had died. In every case I came across the spouse got the full pension till the end of 5 years and from then she got half. I was told if I had passed away in the first 5 years my daughter's would have got a lump sum.

Hi guys,

Im eager to invest this coming year but the problem is which type of investment I will choose.
I got a lot offer from my friends different type of investment like :

BPI-Philam life insurance
Sun life Insurance VUL
BPI retirement planning

Im really confused right now which one I will choose . Im 24 yrs old and single and working in abroad thats why I want my savings to be invested.
I also got tons of networking request from some of my friends but I dont prefer this type of investment.
I also want to invest in the stock market / UITF / Mutual fund is it advisable to invest through bank or I can just register to COL financial?

Thank you for your suggestions and advice.

Did you Google pensioners - perhaps you could find an ' independent '  financial advisor ?
I'm a little curious why a 24 year old would join a forum for pensioners  ?   ???

Maybe she'll find a super duper investment opportunity and want to share it.

Flooplok,

What on earth are you talking about? Your post is complete gibberish.  I suggest if you want to get some advice on where your pension investments should go, you pose a properly thought out questions instead of rambling nonsense.

......She has stated she's foreign.  Floorpok, I think your confused. This is a Pensioners site as opposed to a Pensions site.  There is a subtle difference.

Floorplok. On this site we are all 60 yrs of age or older. We have fun here but I'm not sure you would enjoy it very much. ;D  I'm sure we all remember being 24 and I for one would say to you " Go and enjoy your life and the world with our blessing."

You don't have to be 60 to join this site. I became an occupational pensioner in my 50's and could have joined.
