Take care if you are taking pensions early.

A man I know is being made redundant. He had been given pension figures assuming he is taking his pension from 1st February. His 60th birthday is  May 1st.
I asked him to get a quote for being paid from May 1st and the pension offer is nearly £800 per year more if he waits till 1st May. His redundancy money will cover him till May.
It is a lot of difference and he is glad I intervened.
