At least he has accepted he was wrong.
When a drunk driver ran in to my car he claimed I was drunk and the 2 police officers were in spite of the fact we had nil readings.
A police inspector from a different station came out and tested the officers and as a precaution a second test was done on me. The police officer said I was not legally obliged to take it again but he thought it was wise for me to do so. All tests were nil.
I did witness an accident and the driver said the pensioner was an old codger and should not be on the road. The officer said he may be an old codger but he was driving legally.
The old codger's car was a write off but he got a new car a few days later and started driving again. The drunk driver did not.
When I have seen the guilty driver subsequently he has claimed that pensioner lost him his licence.
