Good evening
« on: Jan 24, 2018, 06:11:42 PM »
Good evening to everyone.

Have been looking as a visitor for some time and have decided to join. I live in the North West (between Liverpool and Preston). Long time retired. I care for my wife who has slight dementia and other health problems but manage well. I have two daughters who live local to me and one son who lives in USA.

Welcome Bobcat.  I hope you enjoy your sojourn with PF.  I am sorry to hear about your wife but hopefully things are going okay at the moment.

Yes to a pension, I suppose I would regard myself as "comfortable" not rich but certainly not in poverty.

Sadly no to dogs had to have our last little fellow put to sleep about a year ago, still miss him terribly but don't think I could manage another dog now.

Hi from me.  Why not get a cat, they're independent.

Hi Bobcat, welcome to the forum.   The pension and the dog was a bit tongue in cheek from Ashy, you'll understand when you ' meet ' Brian   ;D ;D   Not anywhere near Formby are you ?

A very pretty stray cat has adopted us, she comes to the door most mornings to be fed and spends most of the day in the house asleep, but she always goes out at night.

Hi Bobcat I'm quite new here too. Welcome. We once had a holiday somewhere near where you must be at a place called ainsley beach. It was a pontins holiday camp, dunno if it's still there or not?

Hello Bobcat, welcome to the forum. I am very sorry to hear about your dog, we get so attached to them and they are like people to us. They miss us when we go too.

Welcome Bobcat, one thing by having a dog as a friend it as to be walked no matter the weather so it keeps you fit. Cats they are not a true friend and will move on if some one treats them better. My bitch came for an holiday 18 months ago and still with us.
