cockoo clocks,
« on: Mar 30, 2018, 08:05:23 PM »

I seem to remember a time as a child then of seeing cuckoo clocks in several persons houses  today i doubt if they are still around although possibly if so then i assume there must have been happy memories in their childhood years,

Q; have you ever had one or even seen one,

My wife loves the damned things. We have two mechanical ones and two electronic ones along with a couple of bird clocks, an animal clock and a damned clock that plays an hourly unrecognizable Christmas tune given to my wife despite threats of violence if done a couple of Christmases back. They all live in the dining section of the kitchen. I've learned to never use the phone out there near the hour.

my mate had one that called the hour followed by several expletives every time it did
i think it fell of the wall at some point when he had a cast iron alibi

I've got one of those small chiming wall clocks with a pendulum. It won't keep going though unless I hang it slightly off centre?
