Yep. We just haven't got the money to buy success like the big clubs do!

I supported Leeds throughout the "glory" years, pretty much became an armchair fan in 1970 when i found i needed money to pursue a completely different type of sport, lol. The "mecca" didn't come cheap!  ;D

I played but never any "official" stuff. There were dozens of kids on the estate i was brought up on so always enough for a kickabout! I remember the '66 world cup, if we weren't watching it we were playing it. One of the lads,Tony something or other just keeled over once, the ball was nowhere near him, he just dropped with sheer exhaustion. I remember a few of us half carrying, half dragging him home crying to his mam. Great times!

Perhaps there should be a Jacobite League composed of teams from each of the home countries. All Catholics of course.

Nothing on mobdro. Goals will be on calendar tomoz. Btw, i never saw "super leeds" in the flesh, i stopped going when they were plain old "dirty" leeds, to pursue what i mentioned earlier. The whole super leeds thing was the beginning of the commercialisation bit. I always thought they looked a bit stupid doing that pre match warm up bo##ocks anyway.
As for the Scots and irish using "celebratory" days as an excuse for a pi## up which they do and people follow suit (the idiots in Boston usa even dye the river green for the day for st. paddys) i can't really think of anything similar we English do to any extent, except bonfire night, lol!
Something else thats soon going to lose it's "identity" to a day out on the pi## is horse racing. Even when used as a corporate event it's started to end up as a boozing day. And don't get me started on "ladies day" at the bigger events....
