England! I didn't realise how important to me this country is.  We in theory emigrated twice, first to N.Ireland and secondly to South Africa. In fact both were job relocations.  I had never thought about country loyalty before but now I did!  Yes Xetog, we too found that we were proud of this England.

That's also why some of us voted to leave the embryonic USE.

I think I've got some odd ones and they'll be imperial sizes so should match up over there.

With all the political correctness, I wonder if mint imperials are now a no-no.

I think the Roman empire took three centuries to collapse and it was smaller than ours. We showed 'em how to balls things up properly and did it in well less than one.

My England is very sacred to me in a way it is difficult to describe.  Even as a small boy I felt privileged to be born in this country and I have never felt any differently.  My country right or wrong has ever been my creed; this is not fashionable in this questioning day and age I know but you cannot shake off old habits!  Even today with our Empire gone and our influence on the wane throughout the world, I have an innate sense of superiority to all other foreigners.  Hopefully this is not some kind of racism which I myself deplore as I have met some horrible so called Englishmen in my time, particularly in many of the army officer stereotypes I have encountered.  Finally "Rule Britannia, Marmalade and Jam; five Chinese crackers up your rear end, Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Odd people in England.
I don't think so much odd as frightened to death to speak their mind.

Unfortunately you're the dictionary definition of a racist which is a person who feels that they are superior to others purely because of their country of birth.

John, you were educated/inculcated to think that way and, frankly, I grew up with that sense too. I wouldn't worry too much, you're as much a victim of Empire as any Indian growing up in the 18th/19th/20th Century. Just not in the same way. Those things will pass with our generation(s).
