Something I heard on the radio

I'm sure that is wrong - shouldn't it have been Buchan's Nicholas Nickleby?

The pun is on the opening line of Tale of Two Cities.
"It was the best of times and the worst of times.."
Bicester (pronounced 'Bister') and Worcester (pronounced 'Wurster')..

I am a bit confused because I just recently watched The 39 Steps movie written by John Buchan. directed by Alfred Hitchcock. A jolly good thriller with Robert Donat playing the lead. A far cry from Dicken's novels, by the way my favourite author..
