Did anybody here serve in WW1.
« on: Nov 08, 2018, 10:54:34 PM »
A strange man keeps on coming up to me and he keeps on saying we both served in the army in WW1 and WW2. How could I have served in those wars when I was not born until 1948.

More evidence that mental health services are failing.  Take no notice of him Brian.  Although you could ask if he's got an army pension....
Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.

I seem to attract them. Another man said he was in the army for 20 years then the navy for 20 years then the RAF for another 20 years then the marines for another 20 and then the police for 40 years. He must have a good pension.

Actually nobody served in World War One, because it wasn't called that for years afterwards.

A minimum of 116 I think. Unless they lied about their height when enlisting.

No I meant height. It's a pretty ludicrous thing to lie about as is this repeated [censored] about people who were serving during WW1 still being alive.

There is a tale here that an old dog would stand at the crossroads and wait for men in uniform.. 'Are you friendly' ? she would ask.. If they said 'Yes'  she would check them out.. She did a lot for the war effort..
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.
