I doubt that very much Brian.
You have no understanding of people and their feelings.. You measure people by how much money they have. When you talk about your wife you even mention her half pension . No words of love ... happiness.. No sympathy towards those less fortunate.
Your threads continually tell us about your riches and how you obtained them..
You’re not rich Brian.. Not in the things that are more important than money.. These things, unfortunately, you are very much lacking.

I give a lot of money to Cancer Research UK, Macmillan and Dogs Trust as people or doggies can not help being in their positions. I also give some money to a man who tunes pianos even though we no longer have one.
I am happy to help people who do something to help themselves but not beggars or scroungers.

Life, isn't all about money, Brian.....

Life happens, when you connect with people.
Not, constantly working to be better, or to have more......

but on the other hand he is correct
how much does it cost to keep a person in prison?
now if that man has a private pension, why am i paying for his state holiday
i think about two thousand a week out of his pension pot might be nice..
would that be ok Brian... 8)

There are lots of island up in the Artic....unoccupied. Why not build prisons, (make the prisoners do the labour....) there, and the prisoners can work the land, do the fishing etc. make themselves self sufficient....Work for their keep....Look what prisoners did to Australia !   :D  Only a thought... :D  gmx

Some wonderful asides here. Well dun, humour shown is better than any on HIGNFY. The repartee shows good wit which often shows well oiled brainworkings!
My own comments can appear rusty brought about by lemon juice: a bit bitter,me thinks. Impressed.

I agree & think you would make a good councillor as you'd try to ensure that the council spent it's council tax payers' money prudently.

If there were more councillors like you, many of the councils wouldn't be in such a mess.

I would double council house rents and evict Tennant's 3 days in arrears with their rent.

So that's one vote - I think you might need a few more to get elected - unless there was a very low turn out !!!!
