I always wondered...
« on: Nov 28, 2018, 03:17:17 PM »
A team of doctors deliberately swallowed pieces of Lego and other small objects to measure the time such things took to pop out again at the other end. This was in order to reassure worried parents of children who'd done such a thing.
(The Lego took, on average, 1.7 days to reappear.)

Well I'm glad they've done some tests. Have you seen the price of Lego these days?

Don't call me Shirley!

As I understand it JCB, there isn't a large amount of difference in the length of the gut, it's just more tightly packed in a child's abdomen.

I would have thought a Lego brick a bit difficult for a child to swallow!

Not uncommon apparently..I was taken with the idea of a bunch of doctors eating coins and other small objects and then waiting for them to reappear. I wonder if they had a sieve of some kind..
