I agree with Brian's comment, there are far too many people that worry about the well being of these low-lifes, anyone that commits a crime, gets what they deserve (if the rest of us are lucky)

These tactics sound fine in principle but in practice things can go wrong i.e. an innocent person is pushed off his bike just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, a policeman gets badly injured etc. etc.

I am sure the police would only knock them off when they have been given plenty of opportunity to stop.

How do you see that happening? We are talking about hot pursuit of a mounted mugger.

Another thing. A few weeks ago some motorcyclists overtook me, I was doing 70 and they left me standing.
A police car came out of the side. I presume he radioed ahead as there were about10 in a lay by with about 6 police cars keeping them company.
If any of them had not stopped they should have been knocked off their bikes even if it would have caused them to die.

Police don't even stop cyclists riding on the pavement. Most unlikely that they catch very many motor cycling thieves, especially since it's harder to report the theft if they took your phone.

I was annoyed when a cyclists hit me when I was walking on the pavement and fell in to the road. People were complaining I did not move out of the way and he could have gone under a lorry.
Nobody was concerned I had injuries.
Somebody else in Sutton had a bike approach him from the front doing a mono.
He grabbed the front wheel and threw him back.
That was reasonable.

Not only do you srart a new thread on a topic already covered elsewhere you then go on to litter it with dubious stories you have regaled us with before. Have you no shame?

In truth it was a rhetorical question.
