« on: Dec 04, 2018, 06:56:25 PM »

Vegans don’t like talk like this..

Any vegans on here.?
My daughter is a vegan . Except for last Sunday when we had a turkey roast dinner.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

One of my daughters lives in Brighton.  'Nuff said Scrumpy?

She does relapse when she comes up north and her friends are unable to see her!

Bringing home the broccoli does not have the same ring about it.

I often wonder how there can be any Jews or Muslims with bacon tasting so good. Which does remind me of the priest and the rabbi chatting.

The priest says go on rabbi can you swear to me you've never tasted pork?

The rabbi replies by saying well father can you swear to me that you've never sampled the delights of a young lady from the flock?

The priest blushes scarlet and remains silent.

The rabbi then says better than bacon isn't it?

Reminded me of rather a long story about a rabbi travelling far away to try pork for the first time. One of his friends from the Temple is coincidentally in the restaurant and recognizes our rabbi and greets him just as the suckling pig hits the table. The congregant gasps in dismay at this breach of the law and the rabbi also gasps and throwing up his hands exclaims."This fakakta country! I ask for an apple and this they bring me!

Did you see the news clip where an academic is trying to get 'bring home the bacon' banned because it could offend vegans?

They also want to ban 'flog a dead horse' & lots of other saying involving animals.

Be fair...They did suggest alternatives. Not sure "Beat yer Carrot" has the same impact as...Oh, I dunno though.. ;D

She wants 'flog a dead horse' to be replaced by 'feed a full horse' so maybe someone needs to take her to one side & explain why her version doesn't make sense.

'Beat yer carrot' would be an acceptable alternative to 'spank your monkey'.

Carrot? Vegan sausage maybe but if you think it should be carrot I'd suggest you toddle along to that private doctor. ...  :)

I did watch Piers Morgan this morning up against a vegan woman who wants vegan to be treated like a religion.

Why don't vegans just be vegans and stop preaching to us that don't want to be.!
It's like people who have stopped drinking alcohol and because they are unhappy about it try to convert everyone else..

I love Brighton Sheila.. I usually go to a vegetarian eatery which is in the lanes.
I am not a vegetarian but their food is great.

Vegans are a tiny minority of society, any thing they don't like then that's tough.

There's a veggie cafe in Sheffield I visit.  I'm not vegetarian either, but I could eat there regularly!
