As we say farewell to 2018, I am surprised it is still allowed but next year is the year of the pig.

It starts off as year of the cat for me. The neighbours are away for a week and I'm feeding their cat.

Zoony,I think you are both correct.If I remembercorrectly (and I may well be wrong)we are now in the year of the dog.The pig will start the Chinese New year in February.
