On the summit of Buachaille Etive Mor 3353 ft , one of Scotland’s most iconic mountains, looking over to Kingshouse Hotel, the Glencoe Road, and the expanse of Rannoch Moor..

Used to, now we only do the easy ones but not nearly as often as we once did.

Before anyone points out that Loch Leven is near Kinross just south of Perth, I know that, BUT, there are two.  ;D  It was a bit of a surprise to me as well when I found out, especially as the other one is so famous.  ::)

The one at Glencoe is a Sea Loch and a lot of the locals call it by it's Gaelic name. "Loch Liobhann"  But right up at the North end is a place called "Kinlochleven" and I think it's named for that..

I had an enjoyable holiday in Scotland last year staying at a Hotel on the banks of Loch Long. Nice photo Raven.

Excellent photo..
I remember happy days with my (now) wife travelling round the Glencoe area in my old Moggie minor.  In those days, you had to take a small car ferry across Loch leven to Ballachulish.   I haven't been that way much since work 'exiled' me in Hampshire, but I do occasionally stray over to Kinlochewe and Torridon.

A couple of pics from that area - Loch Duich from the old kirk at Morvich (excuse the insect on lens) and one of my favourite mountains, Slioch (the spear) rising from beside Loch Maree.

You'll have had your tea.

I didn't know that. My father's family lived in Kinross for generations.  Lovely photo.
