Old friends
« on: Jan 26, 2019, 11:17:47 AM »
Well Friday saw a brief visit from Cheddar Caveman but oddly enough I noticed another old friend lurking here among the active members for about an hour around 8pm on Friday too.

Well spotted 41. And I agree.
Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.

Well I don't, apart from calling me a racist I found her " tone" to be quite unpleasant.

I have seen waverers here on their Brexit position. It would be good to have a fervent remain supporter who could perhaps explain why junking the result of the largest democratic exercise this country has ever held would be a good idea and exactly what return we get for the billions we pay each year to the EU. I'm sure her input would help cement positions. The Tony Blair of PF no less.

Strange that she should resurface on the same day as CC when she was the root cause of him leaving the board with her unerring ability to spread discord.

It was UPs  " teacher knows best " attitude that got to me so often .

I too saw UP .. She /He was logged in but did not participate.. One has to be logged in to check the Politics page.

Perhaps CC is UP.. Perhaps Diasi is Phil.. or maybe Phil is UP..
Then again CC could be all three of them..!!
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

How can you tell if someone is logged in without actually going to their Profile Page? where a green stripe under their name say's they are online. I can't see anything in the Threads.  ???

The chances of Daisi being Phil are high.
The chances of CC being UP are zero.
That UP was Granny49 is a virtual certainty. It was references to that virtual certainty that lead to CC leaving the board when he considered he was being ganged up on by folks he previously regarded as friends.

Now if Daisi isn't Phil then at least he can be up to speed.

It reminds me of a sign someone put up, "Everyone brings joy to this office, some when they come, and others when they GO."

I'm afraid my visits are very much to see what the extreme Brexiteers are saying without any moderation on their posts 41 and, as has been said, I can only see the politics threads if I sign in.

It is interesting that you see me as a "fervent remainer" as I never have been and I am sure I said, on several occasions, that I was a 75% remain voter.  What I am is "fervent" about is putting and discussing the other point of view and that was never going to happen here.  I rather think that the fact that no one who expresses any remain views is allowed to express them on here for long means they you have been led to believe it is unusual but it was (and probably still is) half the country that didn't want to leave.

We live in interesting times as they say and this forum helps me try and understand the perspective of some of the more extreme views for which I will always be grateful.

The vote for Brexit was a vote to take back what we hadn't lost in order to lose what we actually have.

Hello stranger.. Lovely to see you posting again..
It is good to have varied opinions on any site. It would be very boring if we all thought the same.. We then would have no-one to discuss (anything) with..
and we wouldn't need to listen to anyone else's view because it would be the same as our own.. Very boring..
I notice that your posts are viewed and edited by Chris.. Very unusual.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.
