What a fascinating film could be made of your epic life Scrumpy.  An all action WW2 romp worthy of an Oscar.  I can see it all now, John Wayne should be in the cast to ensure American distribution, the Andrews Sisters could pop up at the finale doing their thing with Margaret Rutherford as the heroine (or do I mean Margaret Lockwood?).  If you want an ex Orderly Room Clerk to add authenticity to any proposed army office scene, then I'm your man.  I can already envisage the royalties due to me for my appearances; now where is my old battledress?

I flew a Spitfire in WW2.  I saw many a Messerscmitt running for it's life..
Spitfires, Messerscmitt's Pffft..... I hated the Fokkers that were always chasing me  ;D

prestbury. I am glad you mentioned  the Fokkers. I was desperately trying to remember the name of our enemy.. I knew it began with an ‘F’.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.
