Bad and Good News.
« on: Feb 10, 2019, 02:57:15 PM »
We were in the shopping centre and a woman was behaving irrationally. Dementia was suspected.
The good news is she has an infection which is being treated and she will be out of hospital in a few days.
I have been told she had a good conversation with another woman this morning.
It sounds something like I had at Christmas.

That is good news. If they cured her there's hope for you yet...

Did you ride shotgun to the hospital .?

A good conversation with another woman?

A good conversation with another woman?

Especially if they are both talking rubbish.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

Yes they can produce some very strange effects.

I recall my father was put in an isolation ward during one of his spells in hospital. I'm certain it was norovirus but the Trust were denying they had any at the time. The effect of whatever that was made him seem as though he had dementia. We felt we had to make it clear to the nurses that it wasn't his normal condition. He recovered in a few days.

This is very worrying because if I had it I doubt if anyone would notice the difference.

Unless you routinely lose the ability to come up with very common words and lose your temper in frustration over that then I think there is a good chance somebody would.
