What do you think of her? She has been getting a lot of bad press over here. Do you think her baby will be black? Do you care? Just curious!

I don't care if her baby is black or ginger   ;D   The press should just leave her alone imo

Its fantastic to be ordinary and not to be in the public eye! I don't care what colour the baby is, lets just hope its healthy.  Thats the main thing.

The fact that the child will be, to some extent, mixed race is, imo, a good thing for The Firm and a good thing generally for society. Colour is not important, character is.

The Royal family reflects modern society now which I also think is a good thing.  She's been drawing in enthusiastic crowds over here, getting a good reception everywhere she goes.  As for the baby's colour, personally I don't think it's important.

What bad press has she been getting in the USA..?
She is the woman Harry chose to marry.. He loves her..
We are all aware of her skin colour..and hair colour..
The time to be concerned is if the child is oriental looking.

I heard something or other on the radio about ongoing arguments with her father. I know no more as although the radio gets left on but my brain switches off when those sort of news items come on.

Families tend to get messy when others, 'newspapers' press and social media, for example, stick their oars in and cause bad feeling with inaccurate or biased reporting.

Thanks for your replies, all good ones.

I was thinking of Princess Margaret & Peter Townsend. Poor woman didn't stand a chance with him did she?
How public opinion has changed with this Megan. Some apparently don't care that her baby will have negro blood which will be carried through generations. However will there be a Royal family in the future to worry about future generations. Who knows?.

No offending anyone please!

This country has always had mixed blood. There is no such thing as "pure English" and probably never was. We even currently have a Royal family of German origin. America has folks from everywere in the world although I think the smallest minority are those who were there in the first place before having the benefit of Europeans turning up and declaring the place theirs.

Does any of this matter?

It matters if you're Native American and your family memory includes the Trail of Tears.
  Good point well made FO.
Can't remember the last time I heard the word 'Negro' Audrine but we live in very different countries with a different balance to things. We have racial stuff going on here but it's of a different kind and has different roots.
