Feel a bit brighter now. It’s helpful to post on here - I hope others find it so as well

Very much so Mike and even more so for those of us who spend most of our time alone...Strikes me there'd be one or two on here that would hate to think that they made my day easier!  ;D

21st February 2019 the date I lost my wife Yvonne. I play golf when weather permitting which is a bit hit and miss during the winter months so I joined a Bannatyne GYM. Many elderly people go to the gym each day, not even to exercise but to relax in the sauna, steamroom, jacuuzzi and finish off with an hot shower. Being there great relief from being home alone and make new friends.
This morning going to the hospital to have my knee ex ray its been giving me a lot of pain. A knee replacement  could be on the cards.  After that nothing planned.

It’s two years today since Veronica died. Her brother and I are going to have lunch in what was one of our favourite restaurants in commemoration of her

Thats a lovely idea Mike. I'm sure you'll raise a wee glass in her honour.

I'm just relieved that this awful chest infection is subsiding. But I'm concerned because my OH is now struggling with it.

Thanks Mike, he's feeling a bit better, don't think he's had the full package!

I hope you and your brother in law revisited some good memories over lunch.

Heard today the residents here have organised a "Robbie Burns" night on Saturday.
Haggis, tatties & neeps whatever that lot is is on the menu. Scots music & poems I am told. All for £2.50 a ticket.
Think I will give it a miss.

I never went to a Burns supper until a few years ago here in Yorkshire. It was great fun.  Give it a go Mick, at £2.50 it sounds a bargain.
