Pay as little tax as possible. It only goes to pay for scroungers.

I have a couple of stocks and shares ISAs. I think they have done worse than if I'd put the money in government bonds. You get £1000 of interest tax free these days and most cash ISAs pay less than long term savings accounts.

I'm guessing your job before you retired was financial advisor. They mostly give crap advice and are why I have the stocks and shares ISAs.
